When we are asked "why or when to use a small aircraft instead of drones" to carry out our aerial photography or inspection work, the answer is simple. It always depends on the client's needs.

What are the advantages of using an aircraft over a drone?

Although it may seem surprising, the time needed to request permission to fly over any location is drastically reduced if we use an aircraft. This means we can launch a project covering dozens of locations across Europe practically overnight.

We are able to significantly exceed the altitude restrictions imposed on drone operations (except in cases of special permits).

At higher altitudes, we can capture a larger area in a single image. While a drone can only ascend up to 120 meters, with an aircraft we can far exceed that height.

Economically, if the locations to be filmed are widely spread out, it is likely more cost-effective to carry out the operation using an aircraft.
